Great question! From engagement sessions to 4th grade photo day, everybody asks this question!

I love it when my clients talk to me about their outfits because it helps me get a better sense of their style and it may even spring a few ideas for more relevant locations.

Different style photographers may make various recommendations, but to me, this is the most important thing:

Whatever you wear – BE COMFORTABLE. BE YOU.

A few other specifics I suggest:

Stay away from large prints, big logos, and neon colors. They are usually unflattering and prematurely date the pictures.

Layer and accessorize. If you can’t make complete outfit changes, the easiest way to spice things up is to add a jacket, scarf, jewelry, different shoes, etc.

Think of anything and have fun.

Football fanatics? Bring your favorite jersey.
Downtown diva? Dress it up.
Certified scuba divers? Well, you get the idea. :)
